​​Teaching Experience

​I taught 5th Grade for 9 years and I loved it! During my 9th year, after a long journey towards parenthood, my husband and I were finally chosen by a birth mother to adopt her baby!  Since then we have adopted another baby, became foster parents, and then adopted twins!  I am now a stay at home mom raising 4 children with fierce, funny, and curious personalities.  I am using this time away from the classroom to create, improve and share some of my favorite resources I have created over the past decade or so!

​My Teaching  Style

​​My teaching style is laid back and fun! I wanted each student to feel liked and seen by me every day. I started wacky themes in my class such as Tutu Tuesday where students and teachers would dress in fun clothes. I always tried to solve discipline issues by simply having a conversation with the student(s). So often they just need to be heard and we can all get back to learning!
